Working Principle
BB fertiliser mixer is mainly used to mix different kinds of fertiliser particles with different particle sizes in the mixing cylinder through the rotation of the mixing device. The mixing device is usually driven by a motor, which drives the mixing paddles or spiral blades to rotate and push the fertiliser particles to circulate in the cylinder to achieve uniform mixing. In the mixing process, fertiliser particles will be subjected to the shearing, squeezing and throwing action of the mixing paddles, thus breaking the agglomeration between the particles and enabling the various fertiliser components to be fully contacted and mixed homogeneously.
Structural components
Stirring cylinder: generally cylindrical or conical, is the main place of fertiliser mixing. The cylinder is usually made of stainless steel or carbon steel, which has certain strength and wear resistance and can withstand the impact and friction of fertiliser particles.
Mixing device: it includes mixing shaft and mixing paddle or spiral blade installed on the shaft. The mixing shaft is driven by a motor through a speed reducer and rotates at an appropriate speed. The shape and size of the stirring paddles are designed according to the type and working requirements of the mixer, and the common ones are paddle-type, anchor-type, screw belt-type, etc. Their function is to push the fertiliser particles to flow in the cylinder to achieve mixing.
Drive system: it is composed of motor, reducer and coupling. The motor provides the power, and the reducer reduces the high speed of the motor to a suitable speed for mixing and increases the torque to meet the demand for force during the mixing process. The coupling is used to connect the motor, reducer and mixing shaft to ensure the effective transmission of power.
Inlet and outlet: The inlet is located at the upper or side of the mixing drum, which is used to add all kinds of fertiliser raw materials into the mixing drum. The discharge port is located at the bottom or side of the mixing barrel, which is convenient for discharging the mixed fertiliser. Some mixers are equipped with valves or discharge devices to control the speed and flow of the material.
Control system: Used to control the operation of the mixer, including functions such as starting, stopping, and speed regulation. Some advanced mixers may also be equipped with an automated control system, which can accurately control parameters such as feed quantity, mixing time and mixing speed according to the preset formula and process requirements to ensure the quality and stability of fertiliser mixing.
