Crawler has good grounding performance and stability, and can adapt to various complex terrain and site conditions, such as soft material pile, uneven ground, etc. Compared with the wheeled travelling system, the tracks can provide greater traction and grip to ensure that the equipment will not slip or fall into the material during the turning process, which is especially suitable for dealing with large-scale, high-moisture material piles.
Turning device: It is the core component of the crawler turning machine, and the common turning device has two types: spiral turning drum and rake tooth turning plate. The spiral turning drum turns the material upward from the bottom of the pile and pushes it forward through the rotating spiral blades; the rake-tooth turning plate rakes up and turns the material through the rake teeth installed on the rotating shaft. Both kinds of turning devices can effectively achieve the turning and mixing of materials, so that the materials are evenly fermented.
Power system: Generally equipped with a high-power engine or electric motor as the power source. For outdoor large-scale composting sites, diesel engines are usually used, which have the characteristics of high power and mobility, and can meet the demand for long-time, high-intensity operation; while indoors or in places with stable power supply, electric motors are more commonly used, which have the advantages of low noise and low maintenance costs. The power is transferred to the crawler travelling system and turning device through transmission devices, such as gear box, chain or belt, to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
