Structural composition
Transmission device: it is composed of motor, reducer, belt wheel, chain wheel, gear and so on, which transmits the power to the cylinder body to make it realise the rotary motion.
Cylinder part: it is the core part of the drum granulator, usually cylindrical, inside can be installed with rubber plate liner or acid-resistant stainless steel liner, used to hold and handle materials, the length, diameter, rotational speed and inclination of the cylinder and other parameters will affect the granulation effect.
Frame device: used to support the whole equipment, generally adopting steel structure with sufficient strength and stability, and the inclination can be adjusted to meet different production requirements.
Pallet support device and wheel stopping device: the pallet support device is used to support the cylinder so that it can rotate stably, and the wheel stopping device is used to limit the axial displacement of the cylinder to ensure the stability of the cylinder in the process of rotation.
Feeding device: including feeding hopper and spiral fabric device, etc., which can feed materials into the cylinder evenly, ensure the distribution of materials in the cylinder uniformity, which is conducive to improving the quality of granulation.
Auxiliary devices: such as scraper device, rake device, water distributor device and so on. Scraper device can prevent the material from sticking to the inner wall of the cylinder; rake device can convey the moulded ball to the next process; water cloth device can spray the right amount of water to the cylinder to promote the agglomeration and granulation of the material.
Working Principle
    Feeding: Powdery or slurry materials are continuously fed into the rotating drum through the feeding end.
    Agglomeration into particles: the material rolls with the cylinder in the drum, through self-weight and centrifugal force repeatedly agglomerates, and gradually forms particles.
    Polishing and shaping: the particles rub against each other in the rolling, and the surface is gradually smooth and rounded.
    Discharging and sieving: the finished granules are discharged from the discharging end, which is in line with the vibrating sieving machine to achieve the particle size grading.
Performance characteristics
 High production efficiency: the continuous rotary movement of the drum and the large material handling capacity make the granulation process continuous, which can realise large-scale production and improve the production efficiency.
Good pelletising quality: the size, shape and strength of the pellets can be controlled by adjusting the rotational speed of the drum, inclination, material humidity and other parameters, and the pellets produced have a high pelletising rate and a rounded appearance and high strength, which is conducive to the storage, transport and use of the product.
Wide adaptability of raw materials: it can handle many types of materials, including fertilisers, chemical raw materials, ore powder, etc. It has a certain adaptability range to the particle size and humidity of raw materials, but it is usually more sensitive to the humidity of raw materials, and the moisture content needs to be strictly controlled.
Convenient operation and maintenance: the structure of the equipment is relatively simple, the operation is easy to get started, the daily maintenance and repair work is also more convenient, such as regular inspection and replacement of worn parts, cleaning the cylinder wall.
